I love to know how things work. When I was little my favourite book was Joe Kaufmans "så funkar det".

Changing home made videos forever

Björn Uppeke, 11 Dec 2008 (03:21)

Maybe some of you photogeeks (like me) know about this already, but I think it’s so f**ing great I have to show it. In September Nikon released their new Digital SLR, the D90 and one of the new features is the possibility to record video! And with the flexibility of a DSLR; low aperture, super wide angle, macro etc, the possibilites are endless. It still has some issues but the benefits are far more. There is starting to pop up some test shots around the interweb from people who have bought the camera and the results are astonishing (at least according to me…)

Head Ties…

Björn Uppeke, 09 Dec 2008 (05:11)

…are often seen at office parties. But if nobody at work wears a suit and therefore no tie, how can an office party ever become a success?! Well, last weekend Netthink sent about 50 Spanions and one Swede to a village outside of Madrid. And believe me, no ties were needed…

About a month ago I told you about a banner campaign that we had done for Adidas. Well, we sent it to Eurobest and it has made it all the way to the shortlist! So hold your thumbs tomorrow (I know I will)!

Rookie treatment

Björn Uppeke, 24 Nov 2008 (02:18)

This weekend Netthink is arranging a yearly get-together for all the employees. We all go to some place outside Madrid, have some dinner and drinks and come back the next day. As tradition the new employees, eg. the people who were employed at Netthink after last years get-together, have to do a lot of silly things before and during the weekend. As I am one of the rookies I have to wear this all week.

I have moved

Björn Uppeke, 19 Nov 2008 (12:03)

About a week ago I noticed that the wall under the air conditioner in my apartment was changing color. Fading into a yellowy tone. I remembered that the week before there had been a heavy rain storm and the pipe to the AC must have burst. I called the landlord and the next day he checked it out and told me I had to move. So I did, right next door. And I’m very happy, because the place is bigger and it has a view. I don’t know if you remember but where I lived before my window faced a wall.
